Annual Function (Junior)-2014

Dikshant International School, Zirakpur, staged its Junior Annual Day Function on 5-Dec-14 at Inderdhanush Auditorium, Sec 5 Panchkula. Mr. Dominique Waaq, Director Alliance Franciase, graced the occasion by being the honorable guests for the event. The inaugural ceremony commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp and a floral tribute to founder of the school Late Shri O. N. Dikshit. The theme of this year’s annual day was ‘Zeal to Heal’ in which kids took the audience through a journey full of hope, love, care and happiness. The program embarked on with the devotional hymn ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ addressed to Lord Hanuman who is known for his auspicious form, knowledge, virtues, powers and bravery. The little dancers of Grade 4, through their performance kept the audience enthralled. The students in their colourful and joyful appearance brilliantly demonstrated their zeal to heal the problems in this world, through the assortment of dances and skit. The show started with a dance performance by Grade 1 students showcasing the beauty of this wonderful earth. In the midst of this, another group of children expressed their concern on the adverse affects of pollution and damage that has happened because of it. However the superheros of the show along with their specially created robot were hopeful and confident about their commitment of clean and Green environment and that is what was performed by Grade 3 students. The tiny tots of kindergarten section through their dance drama, then emphasized upon Education as the most powerful weapon to bring these changes. Carrying on with the theme ‘Zeal to Heal’, the students of primary section spread the message of friendship and joy amongst the different sections of the society including underprivileged children and Old age people. Children even established the power to deal with the challenges of nature and raised hope for the victims to recover, through a candle march. Another high spot in the show was a French play on Christmas, in which students took the role of Santa and discovered a unique opportunity to spread the message of happiness. Finally children got everyone in a mood of festivity and joy by celebrating together the healing they have done in this world. One could clearly witness the waves of smile spreading all across the auditorium. The very inspiring act of children beautifully extolled the crucial significance of self belief, love and happiness. Mr. Dominique Waag enlightened the audience and students with his inspiring words. He appreciated and congratulated them for their efforts. The show received a thunderous applause by everyone present in the audience and ended in a beautiful resonance lingering in the minds of everyone.
