Correct usage of words and spellings is the cry of the day.In order to spread the awareness of importance of spellings Spellathon,a spelling competition was kick started by Spell Genie. Spellathon -North India. Grand Finale kick started by Spell Genie -Daffodils Academy,Chandigarh. Competition was conducted on July 26th ,at North Country Mall The event had been greeted with great enthusiasm as around 113 schools across Chandigarh, Punjab,Harayana participated in the event.Out of the 17,000+ students participated in the initial rounds ,240 children made it to the final round.The day was a day of pronunciation,spelling and vocabulary.A marathon 6 hours event across 4 categories ,standards 1st to 10th kept the audience and spellers SpellBound. Raahil Rai (Grade VI) and Apaar (Grade III) of our school made us proud, as they earned second position in Category I and Category III. They were awarded with trophy and cash prize of 5250/- each.
