On the eve of the International Day of Peace, the students of Dikshant International School ,Zirakpur, spread the message of Peace at Plaza, Sector 17market ,Chandigarh by inviting a signature campaign by the people of Chandigarh. The students had designed a 10 feet statue of Mahatma Gandhi made out of paper pulp by the students of Dikshant, signifying peace and non violence. Students invited people to write message for flood victims of Jammu and Kashmir and also took messages on “What Peace means to a common citizen? The signature campaign stressed on promoting people-to-people contact and cultural exchanges for spreading the message of peace in the region. The aim of the campaign was to move forward in a conducive atmosphere to achieve the cherished goal of peace, progress and prosperity in the World.
