Reading is at the forefront of all we do the entire year, but the month of May was designated as reading month, aimed at motivating students to explore reading as a habit and have fun in it. School spent the entire month on a host of different reading activities in which students participated with enthusiasm and excitement. All the display boards of the school reflected the theme with the exhibits of book covers, posters art material and information explaining different genres of books. These boards acted as inspiring and guiding force for students to pick up books from library and read. It was indeed a pleasure to see the confidence of the students who articulated the synopsis of books of their Interest in the daily morning assembly. They were appreciated and rewarded “STAR READER” certificates by the chairman, Mr. Mitul Dikshit. Students from kindergarten and grade one concluded the theme by dressing up like their favourite book characters, while primary and senior sections adapted the book of their choice and grade level and enacted the same. Reading books gave them an opportunity not only to enhance their knowledge but also remain connected. The reading competition for students continues for the whole year in which students reading maximum number of books will be awarded as “Star readers”
