The festival of Holi was celebrated with students playing with colours on canvas and paper in the Colours of Spring Art Camp with leading artists of the city. The students experimented with handling a brush, stretch paper, paint washes, mix colour, use different media to enhance your painting such as salt, wax, liquid masks, bubble wrap and much more. The day-long art camp was organised at the school art studio, in which students of the school worked with senior artists including Balvinder Singh, Parbinder Lall, Jaskanwaljit Kaur, Sadhna Sanghar, Bibekanand Kapri and budding student artists Shivani Singla and Mehak Sehgal. The students through the workshop learnt that art is never as it appears to be and that , it is only when we listen to the music or see a painting repeatedly that we learn to understand and appreciate the composition of the artist through which an artist wants to convey or express his /her feelings. Art is not a mere illustration of a reality as perceived by the eye but hides within an inner meaning which sheds light on our state of being.
