Communication skills are vital for all young people, both to succeed in their education and in later life. Students today not only need to have the skill needed to understand the information being presented, they need to have the skills to research through different sources, critically analyse the information presented and form their own conclusions and arguments as a result.
Debating Club contributes not only to educational achievement but also to a range of wider outcomes that work towards developing more confident and well-rounded individual. Students get opportunity to compete at school, regional level competitions. These competitions provide students with the opportunity to represent their house, school and compete at the highest levels. In turn, they share the skills they acquire at competitions with other students. In last four years, our school won several championship titles in debating.
