To celebrate Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore’s birthday a special assembly was organized on Friday 9th May , 2014. It started with a prayer in Bengali composed by Rabindranath Tagore. This was followed by a dance drama called Chandalika which revolved around Purokriti, a low caste girl who was despised by her neighbours until her outlook on life changes ,when she meets Ananda, a lord Buddha disciple who treats everyone equal. The mesmerizing dance drama was performed by 7th, 8th & 9th grade students.
