Zirakpur 24th November, 2015 Piyush Mishra, an eminent actor, music director, lyricist, singer, script , dialogue writer, and a well known theatre director visited school today. Loved by audience and critics for his performance in Maqbool and for his outstanding performance in Gulaal , both as an actor as well as a Music Composer. Piyush Mishra interacted with the students and staff of the school, about various options available in the Film Industry ,he talked about his journey into the world of acting and shared his valuable experiences of life, focusing on to dream big and work hard for what you want to be, he talked about the important role that schooling can play in shaping once career to avoid confusions that an individual faces during his lifetime, he also talked about his stint with National School of Drama, courses available at NSD and the important role that theatre plays in making one confident, disciplined and develop Comradeship. He advised children on doing theatre at least for 2 years, as it would help them in whatever profession they pursue in future. He emphasized on trying to observe things in day to day life and note down in a diary on day to day basis The students and staff got an opportunity to ask questions, and he answered to all the queries very patiently. On a special request from the students, he sung his compositions from Gangs of Waseypur and Gulaal , which enthralled every one present.
On this occasion Piyush Mishra said, “It was a terrific moment for me to be in a school like Dikshant. It was a nostalgic moment for me as my own memories from school time got refreshed in my mind ,I am happy to be a member of the governing body of Dikshant and also design the theatre curriculum for the students, . He said, “He found the children to be proactive and their intelligence is far ahead than the kids of our time.”
Mitul Dikshit, director of the school, on this moment said, I am extremely happy that Piyush Mishra would design the theatre curriculum of the school , and has agreed to join the governing board of the school. He said, “Somewhere in the educational scheme there must be encouragement for the dreams and imaginings of youth. A student must be permitted emotional expression in order that he may be taught to discipline his emotions. His shy fancies must be drawn out of him for the good of his soul.
