Dikshant International school organized the annual sports day on 27-December at Tau devi lal stadium Panchkula. The deputy commissioner of Panchkula Mr. Vivek Atray graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The sports meet commenced with a March Past by the 4 Houses, Rabindra, Sarvapalli, Siddhartha and Vivekanand, which was followed by flag hoisting and oath taking ceremony. An array of track and field events were organized, ranging from the long jump, to the 100 metres, 400 metres , relay, triathlon , short track races like Ball relay, potato race, sack race etc for primary students and a concluding Football match. These events enlivened the atmosphere with the participants showcasing their sporting prowess to the tune of deafening applause from an enthralled audience. The competitors far exceeded expectations and performed to an exceptionally high standard in all events.
Vivekanand House headed the annual points tally and won the house trophy for sports. Vivekanand House was also honoured with the trophy for Best March Past.

As the Sports Meet was declared closed, there were mixed reactions of jubilation and disappointment felt all round the ground. Mr Mitul Dikshit, Chairman of the school said “Sports are integral part of a student’s life. They should enjoy the game and use not only their body but mind to play it.”
